Dr. Niesley is currently a physician with the Clinic of Natural Medicine in Eugene, Oregon, soon to be Pacific Integrative Oncology. She also directs the Chemo and Crayons project for families that have children with a cancer diagnosis.
Dr. Niesley completed her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr University (Seattle, WA) in 2001. She subsequently spent two years in a hospital-based residency in the Cancer Treatment Centers of America (Chicago) and worked at the Children's Memorial Hospital (Chicago) before attending Dartmouth College for a Masters in Evaluative Clinical Sciences, with an emphasis on Biostatistics and Epidemiology.
Her extensive research experience includes Co-Director of Integrative Medicine Research, Raby Institute for Integrative Medicine at Northwestern University (Chicago) and Director of Research at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (Philadelphia).
Dr. Niesley is a previous member of the Board of Directors for the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and is a member of the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians. She is the past-president of the Pennsylvania Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Dr. Niesley has published multiple research articles on integrative oncology and research topics, and has been a speaker and presented multiple abstracts at various national and international conferences.
Dr. Niesley is originally from the Portland area, and attended University of Oregon for her undergraduate degree. She left her post as Director of Clinical Research in Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in February 2016, and is raising her children in Eugene.
