Dri Umbrellas is protecting our oceans from plastic pollution by diverting plastic waste and upcycling it into durable, eco-friendly, and chic rain umbrellas. Each Dri umbrella canopy consists of 100% ocean-bound plastic fabric, shafts made from strong stainless steel and handles of sustainable, regenerative bamboo. Using our superior methods and materials, Dri has created the world's most sustainable umbrella.
Dri's supply chain starts in countries most impacted by the plastic pollution crisis, predominantly those in Southeast Asia. We pay local workers fair wages to gather plastic from waterways to intercept it before it enters the deep sea and begins harming marine life and impacting human health. Those employees bring the plastic waste to recycling centers, where it is turned into plastic flakes, then sheets of polyester fabric. That fabric is then hand cut and hand-sewn on top of our high-quality stainless steel umbrella frames. The bamboo handle is added and with that, a Dri umbrella is born, existing to protect customers from Mother Nature, and Mother Nature from plastic pollution.
