Druthers Beverage Co. began over 20 years ago with the desire to recreate a childhood favorite, the Black Cow. With experience in the grocery business, an undergraduate degree in management and a master’s degree in marketing, Druthers founders set out to create the Black Cow Rootbeer. With this idea in mind and some testing in the kitchen, they decided they needed some direction on how to make this beverage a reality. So Druthers sought the advice of people in the industry. After talking to a beverage industry consultant, vendors, and a local distributor, they had what they needed to move forward with the dream. In just three years, the idea for a root beer float in a bottle became a product on the shelf.
