Dhaka University Cultural Society (DUCS) is dedicated to creating opportunities for students who have an interest in culture to immerse themselves in the all-embracing spectrum of heritage & culture.
Through our objectives and activities, DUCS serves as a catalyst in uniting the alumni community of the University of Dhaka and the current students in a single platform. We work in three broad areas:
We try to build a bridge between the current and already established former students according to their area of interest, eventually helping to develop their skills.
We make an effort to affiliate our society in different cultural competitions. For example, the performance from our society has recently won the Inter-University Cultural Competition arranged in BUP while representing the University of Dhaka.
Our works aim to uphold and harbor the existing cultural practices for instance Bengali New-year, Spring Festival, and such.
DUCS has recently got the affiliation with the Cultural Ministry, Govt. of Bangladesh.
Other than these, our teams have taken part in the reception ceremony of the Bangladesh Math Olympiad team; entrepreneurs’ reunion of ‘Chakri Khujbo na, Chakri Debo’; Engineer turned CEO turned Comedian, etc.
