EAGE Local Chapter Ireland Overview
The inaugural meeting of the EAGE Local Chapter Ireland occurred on the 2nd of May. The Local Chapter (LC) was officially established on the 7th of February this year. The establishment of the LC was driven by Dr Gareth O’Brien, Dr Rosi Davi and Mr Andrew Colhoun all working in Tullow Oil. However, it was only possible because of the initial interest of 25+ geoscientists and engineers working in Ireland all members of the EAGE. The inaugural meeting was held in the Clayton hotel, Dublin with approximately 35+ people in attendance and kindly sponsored by Tullow Oil.
