Transformative Ecological Education promotes the development of deep ecological awareness, love of life and the living world. It develops understanding of interconnected interdependent and reciprocal relationships and sytems in our shared biome. The development of Transformative Ecological Education (TREED) in schools, starting in K-12 schools, will be crucial to helping our children and young people do develop resilence and resolve, to deal with the malaise and anxiety they feel in the face of current climate, biodiversity and sustainability crises, and shift from a culture of fear to a larger community of care.
