Earthworks is a newly founded, leading South African commercial-scale producer of +95% pure Earthworm Castings (Vermicast) producing segregated, quality-controlled compost at our state-of-the-art worm farm in Johannesburg, South Africa. Our compost, produced on site and using only 100% organic waste, is designed to provide a consistent and stable blend of quality feed for our worms, from which we produce Earthworm Castings, Earthworm Compost Blend, Earthworm Potting Mix and Earthworm Teas. Our quality-controlled processes convert organic waste material into natural, organic plant food that, not only provides an excellent organic growing medium, but also regenerates soils damaged by years of chemically-based fertilizer use and modern farming practices. Earthworks adheres to strict internationally auditable quality control systems and operating practices equivalent to that of European and American standards, making our products internationally recognized. Our Earthworm Castings, Earthworm Compost Blend, Earthworm Potting Mix and Earthworm Teas are in accordance with International Best Practice standards, enabling us to supply stable, consistent 100% organic Earthworm products, in commercial-scale quantities, to the agricultural, horticultural and plant-growing industries of South Africa. Earthworks was founded in 2020 by Dan Barwick, farmer and owner of Turfnet, a major player in the organic recycling industry, Dr. Louis Crouwkamp, who has a Doctorate in Food Sciences and 45 years of experience in the breeding, growing and working with worms, and Peter Breese, former CEO of International Mining Companies listed in Canada.
