The European Bulk Oil Traders’ Association (EBOTA) has four Working Groups, each looking at the impact of specific legislation on its members:
• The RED Working Group is concerned with the EU Renewable Energy Directive and sustainability requirements for biofuels and SAF.
• The ADN Working Group deals with the UNECE ADN, a European Agreement concerning the international carriage of dangerous goods by barge on inland waterways.
• The REACH Working Group is concerned with the EU REACH Regulation which aims to protect human health and the environment against the harmful effects of chemical substances.
• The CBAM Working Group looks at the EU CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) and proposals to introduce a UK CBAM.
