The principal objective of the fund is to generate positive absolute returns to its Partners by making mezzanine loans to privately held companies with underlying sustainable projects and utilizing other financial instruments as determined by the investment manager in its sole discretion.
Specifically, the Fund will be providing capital to pre-development & full development investments in environmentally sustainable assets (i.e., renewable technologies, decarbonization projects and climate technologies (Renewables and Climate Tech) that create high and well balanced risk adjusted returns while helping mitigate climate change. The Fund intends to invest in select renewable and climate tech assets outlined by the Inflation Reduction Act( the "IRA")* and any technology that facilitates the creation or selling of climate related credits and certificates, such as: Investment Tax Credits, Carbon Credits, Water Credits, REC's, RIN's, and the like. The Fund intends to have its loans paid back to the Fund within 24 months or less of deployment. Approved Inflation Reduction Act asset classes: Renewable Energy Production (Solar, Wind, Geothermal, Hydrogen), EV Charging Stations, Carbon Sequestration, Waste to Energy Recovery, Biogas Production, Micro-grid Production, and Energy Storage.
