We are a group of GPs’ set up as specialist management experts of GP practices, and currently have 18 surgeries in our portfolio. During the course of our professional work, we have discovered that many GP’s in their practice are distracted from their clinical expertise to: Practice management and administrative responsibilities; Human Resources recruitment and staffing issues; Holiday and sickness cover issues; Quality control over non clinical matters; Budgeting and financial matters; Such distractions have proved to be an ongoing source of frustration and fails to derive an appropriate financial yield for the time spent. We believe that medical professionals are best placed as caring clinicians, undertaking what they have been trained for and continuing to do what they love. Bureaucracy and the plague of red tape has become a distraction for many GP’s. In order to maintain a minimal benchmark of income, they have been forced to participate in time consuming managerial commitments.
