We, the fourth cohort of the Erasmus Mundus Interdisciplinary Master African Studies (EIMAS), are thrilled to announce our Winter School conference, scheduled for November 18-21, 2024, at Université Bordeaux Montaigne, France.
This year's theme, “The Battle for Sustenance: Navigating the Complexities of Food Politics in Africa”, aims to foster critical dialogue among diverse stakeholders. By embracing an interdisciplinary approach, we will integrate practical experiences and scholarly perspectives from fields such as political economy, political ecology, environmental studies, and international relations.
The conference will feature a variety of engaging sessions, including lectures, presentations, Q&A sessions, panel discussions, and interactive group activities. To ensure broad participation, most sessions will adopt a hybrid format, allowing both on-site attendees in Bordeaux and remote participants from across Africa and around the world to engage in meaningful discussions.
