The Iron Library looks after the archives of its benefactor, Georg Fischer Ltd. The GF Corporate Archives are listed as an archive of national importance in the Swiss inventory of cultural assets. Together, the archive and the library maintain the historical and cultural heritage of the GF Corporation. They are part of the cultural, economic and social history of Switzerland.
