The World Health Organization estimates that over 70 million people worldwide need a wheelchair, yet only 5-15% of those people have one. Eleanore's Project seeks to help close that gap through our unique work in Peru.
For more than 15 years, we have collaborated with a partner organization in Lima, Peru called Yancana Huasy. The staff at Yancana Huasy provide wraparound services for children with disabilities and their families, including medical, educational, and therapy offerings, and an innovative wheelchair program developed in partnership with Eleanore's Project.
