Electric Picture Hall was founded in Chepstow in 2023 with the long term goal of opening a small Independent cinema on Chepstow High Street. We are named after the original Electric Picture Hall cinema in Chepstow which opened in 1911 and is now little more than a plaque on a doorway, sadly the closest cinema options for Chepstow are now a motorway away. Phase 1 of our plan to bring cinema back to Chepstow has been the pop-up cinema; we collaborate with businesses and venues in and around Chepstow using their space and our equipment to host our Cinema.
