We are the Electrical Impedance Tomography and Neurophysiology Group (EITN) at UCL, led by Prof. David Holder and Dr. Kirill Aristovich. Our work focuses on developing Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) to image fast electrical activity in the brain and nerves, in real time and without invasive procedures.
We design custom hardware and software for EIT, with applications in epilepsy, stroke, and brain function monitoring. A key part of our research focuses on the vagus nerve, where we’re mapping its internal structure to enable more targeted and effective nerve stimulation therapies.
We work across neurophysiology, engineering, and clinical science to develop tools that can be used in both research and patient care.
