IKI South Africa (NOW - Krav Maga & CQC Academy) was an affiliate body under the banner of IKI (Israeli Krav International) in Ma'aleh Adumim - Israel. This IKI 'style' is a good form to begin training in. Over the years I have found these basic concepts to be excellent, from personal experience, the best form in Krav, and I compare this to MANY of the other Kravs 'out there', for general self defence. BUT the total experience is not adequate for self defence against the vicious criminal we have here in South Africa. I have continued to improve aspects of this Krav style and following the teachings / advice from Sun Tzu (& The art of war) together with John Boyd (& The OODA Loop). The advice I have followed from all here, blends in well with my Military experiences, allowing me to form a teaching and learning structure which is innovative and continually improving. Our Krav Maga techniques remain simple, easy to learn & remember and effective in their application. I remain grateful to everyone with whom I have trained and who has contributed to my learning.
