Established in 2014, EMA began as a specialist education provider for young people with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they played an active role in shaping their own futures. As our first cohort of students approached adulthood, it became clear that many required continued support beyond education. This need drove the development of EMA’s social care services, expanding our commitment to delivering person-centred care.
A significant milestone was achieved in 2022 when our supported living services successfully registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), enabling us to provide comprehensive support, including personal care and medication management, without relying on external providers. Our first CQC inspection in April 2023 resulted in a GOOD rating—a testament to the dedication of our team and the positive impact of our services.
Over the past decade, EMA has grown significantly. Today, we operate two day provisions in Dorchester and Gillingham and manage four supported living services in the Dorchester area, offering high-quality, tailored support that empowers individuals to lead independent and fulfilling lives.
