EMMA Association is a national women’s organization, which works for the fundamental rights and societal equality of women, paying special attention to gender-based oppression, violence against women during the childbearing and childrearing period, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), on the individual, community and social level, with a special focus on vulnerable groups of women.
Main activities of EMMA Association:
● EMMA Helpline: anonymously helpline service for women facing difficulties in maternity care and
motherhood;
● EMMA Hubs: a safe space for women to promote social justice and solidarity;
● Community Network of Female Companions: providing support to Roma women with regards to
sexual and reproductive health and rights, specifically to promote access to maternity care and
contraception;
● Women living in homelessness: training professionals to provide trauma-informed care;
● Social activism: turning personal experiences into community-building and social activism;
● Research: promoting systemic change through research on women's experiences;
● Humanitarian Program: case management focusing on sexual and reproductive health and rights for
refugee women and girls.
Az EMMA Egyesület egy országos női szervezet, amely a nők alapvető jogaiért és társadalmi egyenlőségéért dolgozik, különös figyelmet fordítva a nemi alapú elnyomásra, a nők elleni erőszakra a gyermekvállalás és gyermeknevelés időszakában, valamint a szexuális és reproduktív egészségre és jogokra (SRHR), egyéni, közösségi és társadalmi szinten, különös tekintettel a nők kiszolgáltatott csoportjaira.
