Empathy for Life Integrated Development Association (ELiDA) is a women-led civil society organization established in 2008. Over the past 15 years, ELiDA has successfully implemented various projects in partnership with different donors. Our goal is to address the social, economic, and political challenges faced by Ethiopians by empowering women and girls, creating opportunities, and contributing to building sustainable peace and a strong democratic culture. We strive to foster socially responsible and productive citizens who respect and protect human rights for all by targeting hard-to-reach grassroots communities.
We actively advocate for and promote girls' education, human rights/women's rights, women's participation in peacebuilding and conflict resolution, response to gender-based violence, child protection, women's economic empowerment, climate change, and environmental protection.
