Empowering Research Foundation (ERF) is dedicated to uplifting the Sudanese research community by providing comprehensive support and fostering collaboration among researchers across various disciplines. As the CEO and founder, I lead ERF in our mission to dismantle barriers that hinder the production of high-quality, publishable research, with the aim of creating a profound impact on Sudan and beyond.

Our mission is to empower researchers—especially Sudanese researchers—by delivering essential resources, promoting collaboration, and facilitating the development of influential research that informs and shapes the future of our communities.
Strategies for Success:
To achieve our mission, we have outlined a three-stage strategic framework:
Stage One: Building the Foundation
We prioritize the establishment of a robust Sudanese research community by enhancing collaboration, sharing knowledge, and addressing current gaps in resources and support systems.
Stage Two: Expanding Reach & Resources
We aim to form partnerships with international research institutions and engage in fundraising efforts to broaden our impact, enabling us to provide enhanced support and resources to our researchers.
Stage Three: Institutional Integration & Sustainability
We strive for sustainable institutional integration within the Sudanese research landscape, ensuring ongoing support and collaboration that positively influences research outcomes.
SMART Goals:
Year 1:
- Conduct needs assessment surveys Sudanese researchers across various disciplines to identify their specific needs and challenges.
- Host four capacity-building workshops
- Establish a mentorship program connecting mentor-mentee pairs to foster professional development and collaboration.
Year 2: Secure partnerships
Year 3: Establish Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with at least two Universities.
Long-Term Vision: We envision ERF as a catalyst for lasting positive change in Sudan's Literature.
