Equicap Asia (Equicap) provides development services within infrastructure space in South Asia Region. Equicap team has extensive infrastructure development experience across Asia region, including development, financing and EPC structuring.
Equicap was mandated by InfraCo Asia Development Pte Ltd (IAD) in 2016 to develop sustainable, socially responsible and commercially viable infrastructure projects that contribute to economic growth and social development in lower income countries in South Asia. The Developer Services Agreement with IAD ended in November 2022. Alongside taking an equity stake in such projects, IAD and Equicap provided the necessary expertise for early stage, high-risk development activities, with the aim of attracting private sector investment to these projects to achieve financial close.
IAD is a company of the multi-donor Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG) and is currently funded by three of its members - the UK Department for International Development (UKAid), the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
