An innovative cleantech start-up, developing a sustainable power generation system that is based on quantum technology, nanometric material and a network of digital steering sensors. This start-up was founded in 2024, after two years of scientific research in the field of modern quantum physics. The Equontec power system is very compact, light-weight and 100% zero-emission; it operates silently, safely and with a short response time. It offers flexibility of operation. The Equontec system has the capability to power up and down nearly instantly: within mere seconds for a medium-sized unit / less than half a minute for a large power plant. During its initial stage of development, Equontec will construct power units with a capacity ranging between 100 kW and 5 MW. During the next development stage, Equontec will build medium-sized power plants with a capacity ranging from 5 MW to 25 MW. In the near future, there is potential to scale up further to approximately 200 MW per power plant for collective applications. Equontec's power systems will accelerate the green energy transition – contributing to decarbonised, climate-friendly electricity generation. It is a fully carbon-neutral, highly resource-efficient solution that improves grid resiliency and renders power-intensive applications more resilient. ▪ System type A is developed for on-grid applications at a regional / interregional scale. Type A is suitable for use in a grid that is characterised by varying electricity demand; it can rapidly compensate fluctuating power availability from other sources, to stabilise the grid. ▪ System type B will be developed for off-grid applications that use electric propulsion: railway transportation (high-speed trains), bulk transport by road (trucks), shipping (sea vessels) and aviation (passenger aircraft). Type B can also be used in heavy industry, and as a (back-up) power facility for data centres and public facilities such as hospitals. Contact E-mail: mail@equontec.com
