About EraAfrica- Eswatini Chapter
Africa is rising rapidly and is fast becoming the new promise for the next exponential development in the world. Thus, the spotlight has shifted to Africa, she is now at the center of the global stage. It however seems a big portion of the African youth are not prepared and even unaware of this new era in the evolution of the continent. This is due to the years of disenfranchisement, lack of exposure and ignorance that have become norm in the continent.
EraAfrica is thus an initiative to mentor, inspire and empower the Eswatini and African youth as a whole to take leading roles in spearheading the development of their societies, countries and continent. To make them aware of their new position in the global space as part of rising Africa and to take advantage of it.
This initiative is driven by peer to peer mentor-ship of Africans by Africans on the rise and international mentors. Our aim is to link young people from all backgrounds to a chain of local and international mentors in mentor-ship platforms where mentors share their stories, victories, winning tactics in their various fields of expertise including in academics, business, vocation and development.
Our hope is to inspire change through modelling, to expose young Emaswati to positive and relatable stories of fellow Africans and international mentors they can emulate. Furthermore, to ignite a zeal in the youth to participate actively in the development of their communities through solving the problems of their societies using their unique skills, knowledge, education, innovation and African heritage in economy building endeavors which have a local and global impact.
