ERS is the only company to move past the Assisted Living standard pager for staff notification of resident alerts. ERS uses Wi-Fi connected tablets (Samsung) to alert care givers. Tablets are 2-way mobile computing devices able to not only display in great detail alerts, but also feedback to the host computer details about alert resolution (what happened, who resolved, comments). In addition, the ERS tablets are able to function as phones (using Wi-Fi, not cell). ERS uses an Inovonics wireless backbone to receive - pendants, pull cords, smoke detectors, motion detectors, fall detectors, etc., all connected to a Windows 7 platform.
