Education and Support for Afghan Girls (ESIN) is a women-led civil society organization committed to empowering Afghan girls through education, skill-building, and emotional support. In a country where girls face countless barriers to education, ESIN stands as a source of hope, inspiration, and change.
Our Mission
At ESIN, we aim to empower Afghan girls by providing access to learning opportunities and fostering a culture of education, leadership, and independence. Through innovative programs, we support girls in overcoming challenges, ensuring that their voices are heard and their dreams are realized.
What We Do
Underground and Home-Based Schools: Operating in challenging environments, ESIN has established 3 underground schools in 2 provinces, creating safe spaces for learning where traditional education is denied.
Skill Development Programs: We offer a range of skill-building programs both online and offline, focusing on sewing, drawing, coding, and public speaking. These skills provide girls with economic independence and personal confidence.
Literacy for Marginalized Women: ESIN also supports literacy initiatives that enable Afghan women to read, write, and become active participants in their communities.
Trauma Healing and Counseling: Understanding the emotional toll of conflict and restrictions, ESIN provides mental health support to help girls heal and rebuild their strength.
Scholarships for Excellence: By securing opportunities for Afghan girls, ESIN has helped 30 students gain scholarships abroad, enabling them to continue their education and achieve academic success.
