Founded in 2015 by King Hussein Foundation (KHF), Ethmar for Islamic Microfinance, the first Shari'ah-compliant Islamic microfinance company in Jordan. With the license of Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) as the first Islamic Microfinance institution to fight poverty, unemployment and to provide financial solutions to those with low-income individuals (employees, workers and retirees), licensed businesses and household businesses. Ethmar aims to improve their standard of living and addressing their social problems. In order to reach its social and financial services for all segments of society and to be an innovative model of economic and social empowerment, Ethmar seeks to provide innovative Islamic financial products and solutions.
