Our vision is to be the best small automotive importer in the world, and our people are the heart of our success. We have over 150 employees in two Auckland locations: our head office on Great North Road and the Parts and Distribution Centre at Airport Oaks.
European Motor Distributors (EMD) was established in 1977 by Sir Colin Giltrap, bringing prestigious European brands to the local market and creating exciting opportunities for Kiwis. Today, EMD remains part of the wider Giltrap Group, who are importers, retailers and distributors of 18 of the world's best automotive brands. The Giltrap Group's commitment to developing people, as well as their vision and family values, is reflected in over 850 employees, many of who have grown their careers through multiple roles across the Giltrap Group.
