We're dedicated to ensuring you never miss an event with an easy search facility and free email alerts; and if you’re an organiser we’ve ensured you can list as many events as you like at no cost, with fair and affordable fees for sponsored listings.
Event Central was founded in 2018 by two people who have academic research, higher education and business backgrounds in the UK; we were frustrated at hearing about events, conferences, training courses, seminars & public lectures after they had happened. Drawing on our experiences, and fear of missing out, we’ve ensured that the site is clean and easy to navigate with hassle free registration and the ability to quickly and easily set up, amend and edit email alerts.
Accepting that education and knowledge is not free for all and that costs can perpetuate inequalities and act as barriers to the majority of those studying or starting in business, we wanted all users of the site to be able to be aware of the many opportunities available to them. As a result, we will never charge a fee for anyone wanting to search the site or set up an alert. In addition, to further ensure equity, event organisers wishing to take out a premium listing will be charged at a rate which reflects a fair rate based on their country of location. As we grow and provide additional services we hope to reinvest in our users by partially covering event entry costs for those from low and midlle-income countries – if you think you can help us with this, please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.
Our passion is to help people interested in ideas, learning and business to connect with others and to help everyone grow. The site serves users all over the world, and we are thrilled to help support businesses and the growth in online training, seminars and events that arose out of the Covid-19 crisis.
