evolaris - a merger of the Bern University of Applied science and the aircraft manufacturer MSW Aviation – has developed an electrical high power aerobatic motor for the swiss aerobatic aircraft VOTEC 221 in the past 1.5 years.
This electric motor will replace the existing 4/6 cylinder combustion engines like the commonly used Lycoming / Continental engines.
First prototype tests will take place in spring / summer 2017. According to our project plan, flight-tests are planned in autumn 2017.
