Founded in 2019 and built on the first hand, doctor-led experience of organising international medical work placements. Experience Medicine aims to make the process of arranging medical placements hassle-free, by supporting candidates and providers through the process.
We provide General Practice and Hospital-based medical work placements for
• International medical trainees, students and doctors
• UK based students and candidates interested in medicine
We have partnered with a range of hospitals and GP practices in rural and urban areas to give candidates a catalogue of options to choose from. We aim to provide a broad experience with a signature "Pic and Mix" feel, involving primary, secondary and community/voluntary sectors.
One of our main aims is to broaden and challenge the idea of traditional work experience, offering candidates access to a variety of experiences to choose from, with the aim of equipping them with the knowledge to either apply to medical school or learn lessons to inform practice in their day to day work.
We also have a commitment to widening access to the medical field by providing funded work placement opportunities for candidates from black, ethnic minorities and low socio economic backgrounds.
