Expressive Avenues: Wellness facilitates participants and trains professionals in a participatory wellness program. Learning H.O.W. to Age® is designed for active aging adults who are, and wish to remain, living independently. Expressive Avenues synthesized the theories of Drs. Moshe Feldenkrais, Abraham Maslow, Edward de Bono, and Richard Restak and combined their distilled theories with experiential gaming and awareness exercises used in acting, dance and voice. This program addresses mental flexibility, physical perception and kinesthetic awareness. These three areas of focus strengthen all dimensions of wellness and improve the quality of life for participants and facilitators alike. It is possible to modify this program to fit the needs of some assisted living communities.
