The Extra Heartbeat Foundation was founded by Mitch King in 2014 and is committed to developing educational experiences built upon community, sports and play to empower and encourage Iowa youth to realize and go after their dreams.
Mitch's first pilar to the foundation included the Extra Heartbeta Football Academy. The academy empowers young men to become positive and disciplined student-athletes by honoring the game of football, building character, modeling dedication, developing a strong work ethic, committing to personal excellence, and practicing sportsmanship on and off the field.
