The main task of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Informatics is to provide higher education and creative scientific research in the field of natural sciences, mathematics and informatics.
The faculty fulfills its mission by educating highly qualified specialists within a wide range of accredited scientific and professional study programs in bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies.
The long-standing tradition of the faculty is the training of teachers of science, mathematics and computer science. In cooperation with other faculties of the University of Constantine the Philosopher, it creates the widest offer of teacher training in natural sciences, mathematics and computer science in combination with language, art, technology, humanities and social sciences within Slovak higher education.
Higher education at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Informatics is closely linked to the research, development and other creative activities of the faculty's staff and doctoral students. The connection between higher education and scientific research has a positive impact on the quality of education and the future employment of faculty graduates. The results of scientific activities are the basis of wide acceptance of the faculty at home and abroad.
As part of its activities, the faculty also promotes natural sciences, mathematics and informatics with an emphasis on youth and the general public.
