Frontier Artificial Intelligence Research (FAIR) is a non-profit organization born in Argentina, embedded within the Laboratory of Innovation and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA IALAB).
At FAIR, we see AI Safety as a complex sociotechnical challenge: aligning AI systems with human values and intentions requires not only technical innovation but also a deep understanding of the societal contexts in which these systems operate.
As a unit of a Latin American public university, intellectual independence is a core value. We are committed to cultivate local talent, build community, and contribute to establishing the field of long-term AI safety in our region, while also collaborating with experts from around the world.
