FairCare is a youth volunteerism platform that helps student volunteers connect with NGOs in order to promote meaningful service and action activity, in conjunction with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This platform was tailor-made for IB students who have a compulsory Service and Action (S&A) or Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) component in their curriculum. FairCare has partnered with over 40 national and international NGOs based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which provides volunteering opportunities in 4 different initiatives: Hunger (FairBowl), Education (FairTeach), Health (FairDr), and Environment (FairEco). Thus, students are able to filter through the catalog of volunteering opportunities, be it online, in-school or out-of-school, to find the perfect means of contributing to their community based on their hobbies and interests.
