A Father’s Heart focuses on babies and children’s human rights in single parent families. We are the only one currently actively helping undocumented babies and children in Korea. Unlike single mothers, under Korean law, single father cannot register their baby without biological mother’s approval as well as if the mother is an illegal alien but we help the fathers who are willing to raise their own child by themselves to register their babies through lawsuits which are time consuming and costly. Those mothers do not want to leave a record of having a baby at all for various reasons. It is truly against baby’s human rights not to be able to receive medical services and education that a nation provides for their citizens because they are not documented as a citizen. Ji-Hwan has made a new law, ‘Sarang Law- under family law clause 57.2’. It is still being amended and he is being part of the process.
