Randy has worked in Auto Aftermarket Industry for 30 years at notable companies including CSK Auto (Northern Automotive), Genuine Parts (NAPA), Sears Auto, Shell Oil, and Cottman Transmission and Total Auto Care. He is currently the CEO of FCI marketing, an automotive aftermarket consulting company. Randy is also the Committee Chair of the Market Intelligence Committee at Auto Care Association, where he oversees a committee of over 25 people that works to identify major shifts in the auto care market and assess the impact on current and future business practices. The committee is comprised of professionals from all levels of the value chain, including manufacturers, retailers, distributors, wholesalers, as well as industry consultants and research professionals. Randy works with these committee members to conduct thorough market research to identify any new trends/struggles among the main players throughout the value chain, any promising new companies and opportunities, any potential mergers/acquisitions, and any internal/external factors that may impact the industry as a whole.
Randy has successfully supported his employing companies and consultancy clients with various managerial responsibilities; new business start-up, growth strategies, profit maximization, management analysis, turn around structuring and capital funding along with various international endeavors including retailing, sourcing, operations including both product and market development.
Randy earned an MBA in Management from Rockhurst University of Kansas City, Helzberg School of Management, and a BS in Business Administration from Missouri State University.
Randy’s experience is unique as it crosses many channels of automotive business; automotive service, automotive parts retail, automotive parts wholesale, mechanics hand tools, automotive accessories including automotive accessories manufacturing in the US, Mexico and Asia.
