Fekra Therapeutics

Fekra Therapeutics is a clinical stage biotech company focused on developing novel first-in-class small-molecule cancer therapeutics. Fekra's lead program is FK-01, an oral BMX non-receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor with proposed indication for metastatic/non-metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer (m/non-mCRPC). Why? Well, Hormonal Therapy ( i.e. Androgen Deprivation Therapy, ADT) is still the mainstay treatment option for patients with progressive prostate cancer. Unfortunately, patients eventually develop resistance to these therapies. Interestingly, the target of interest BMX was found to be overexpressed in response to ADT and contributed to such resistance. Fekra with its FK-01 lead program aims to develop a new and novel therapeutic paradigm for patients with such devastating and progressive cancer.
