Felix Welfare Foundation is a recent establishment by the promoters of Felix Hospitals in Noida. The Foundation focuses on skill development and outreach medical camps in rural western UP.
One of the activities chosen is First Aid and Basic Cardiopulmonary life support to Ambulance Drivers, many of whom are freelance operators. The intention is to strengthen the chain of lifesavers with adequate knowledge and skills to save patients in an emergency. These drivers are the unsung saviours of highway accident victims and this attempt is to empower them with the right skills.
The Foundation will come up with more skill-based training to bridge the skill gap in the health sector, the next being the GDA training program. This training will aim to build skills of patient handling and care to boys and girls who are class 10th passed and above 18 years of age.
