Founded in 1980, headquartered in Ovar, under the designation of Ferpinta’s Commercial Group, Ferro is part of Ferpinta Group, nowadays a global multinational with its core business in the prodution of steel tube and recognized as one of the main players in the industry, implemented with production units in Portugal, Angola and Mozambique, besides distribution units in Spain and Portugal (Ferro).
In addition to the Siderurgical industry, the Group's activity extends to Tourism in Porto Santo and Mozambique (Hotel Vila Baleira and SAPAP, respectively) and Agriculture, through the Herculano brand, currently one of the biggest iberian producers of agricultural equipment.
As distribution unit of siderurgicasl products in Portugal, Ferro is organized in a network of seven distribution units and steel service centers, located in Braga, Aveiro, Viseu, Santarém, Setúbal, Portimão and Funchal, aligned with culture of proximity to the market in which it operates and focus on the client, based on a service of excellence that we believe to be a source of competitive differentiation. In order to satisfy the needs of the market throughout the years, Ferro has extended its range of products that nowadays includes steel tubes and channels, plates, heavy plates, rebars, merchant bars and beams, among other carbon steel products.
