Der Verein "Freunde und Förderer der Münchner Philharmonikere.V." unterstützt das international renommierte, professionelle Orchester, z.B. durch die Unterstützung bei Konzertreisen oder den Kauf wertvoller Musikinstrumente.
Darüber hinaus werden im Rahmen der Orchesterakademie jährlich bis zu 14 junge, talentierte Musikerinnen und Musiker mit Stipendien gefördert.
Rund 500 Mitglieder engagieren sich im Verein: ehrenamtlich, mit großem Enthusiasmus und beträchtlichem finanziellen Einsatz.
