FIFARMA is the Latin American Federation of the Pharmaceutical Industry. It is a regional organization created in 1962 that represents 13 pharmaceutical research and development companies, and 9 pharmaceutical associations in Latin America. All FIFARMA members focus on the research and development of innovative medical devices; and promote the development of products and services aimed at improving the lives of patients, with patient safety as one of the main objectives. Seeking to promote the health of Latin America, FIFARMA works closely with intergovernmental bodies, non-governmental organizations, Latin American health authorities and civil society organizations, among others.
