Fight For Chicago is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to empower youths facing adversity with the tools necessary to seize control of their lives through mentoring opportunities and the spirit of competition and discipline promoted by the sport of boxing.
Why boxing?
Down for the count. On the ropes. Throw in the towel. Knockout. Boxing is a sport so complex and relentless it created its own language for failure. But boxing also inspires us to go the distance, to bob and weave, to roll with the punches. It is these essential qualities of success that we are committed to fostering in boys and girls living in or near the South Side of Chicago.
With support from corporate and individual donors, F4C sponsors annual gym memberships for at-risk students at the acclaimed Sam Colonna Boxing, MMA & Fitness Gym and provides our “Prizefighters” with a year of dedicated academic and social mentorship.
Our training program teaches physical and mental strength, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence – in the ring, in the classroom, and in our community.
