In ever-changing health and education contexts, FINE promotes the development and maintenance of nursing educators' skills as well as excellence, responsiveness, creativity and innovation in nursing education.
FINE is open to any private or public, professional or academic nursing and/or nursing science institution.
FINE supports educators in their work, including harmonising and improving curricula, developing evidence-based education and maintaining research capacity in nursing.
FINE supports the development of clinical, organisational and policy leadership among nurses to address public health challenges and to collaborate with and influence other groups, organisations and decision-makers in health care and education at national, European and international levels.
FINE also integrates and supports international consortia for the development of research projects.
FINE aims to maintain consistency between its discourse and its actions through open communication, ethical decision-making and intellectual honesty. FINE encourages the participation of its members in decision-making and promotes their autonomy and self-determination in nursing education. The pooling of resources and expertise is at the heart of its activities, enabling positive outcomes to be achieved together.
