The Firefly Institute offers professional education and certification courses throughout the year for mental health and play therapy professionals. Our outpatient services engage children, adolescents adults and families in care designed just for them. The graduate internship program works in partnership with Firefly Counseling for outpatient mental health and supports students to engage in rigorous study applying theory to practice. Our graduate internship program offers placement for students seeking advanced practice in expressive therapies including play therapy and therapeutic art, interpersonal neurobiology, animal assisted human health, movement and other holistic practices. We have a research agenda focused on the application of theory into practice highlighting the importance of training for the healthcare professional.
