FirstCentral Credit Bureau Limited was incorporated as XDS Credit Bureau Limited in May, 2005 with RC. No 623894 and having satisfied the conditions for the grant of a credit bureau license under the Central Bank of Nigeria Act, No. 7 of 2007, was granted final operating license on the 28th of May 2009 to operate a credit bureau in Nigeria.
It leveraged on the extensive involvement of its previous technical partner, Xpert Decision Systems (“XDS”) Pty South Africa, with credit bureau operations in South Africa, Ghana, Malawi, United Arab Emirates and Australia in making available to the Nigerian market, a suite of innovative and user-friendly information and credit management solutions.
In furtherance of its commitment to provide the country with independent and credible credit information reporting services, no financial institution owns equity nor participates in the management of the Company.
This makes FirstCentral Credit Bureau Limited, Nigeria’s only independent credit bureau.
The strategic intent of FirstCentral Credit Bureau Limited is to be the pre-eminent credit & information providing agency in Nigeria by leveraging on technology.
