PILA is a hub of public interest law stakeholders in Ireland that was established in 2009 - a project of FLAC.
Starting with the Public Interest Law conference in October 2005, FLAC has built on the interest and momentum for this area of law in Ireland. There is a clear need for a reference point or hub for public interest law work. Thus the Public Interest Law Network (PILN) was established which has a core membership of some 600 members. PILA will build on this network and develop its capacity and potential in a range of new, exciting and effective ways.
An electronic bulletin produced by FLAC has been sent out to members of the Network. Known as the PILN Bulletin, it contains information on events, developments and case law that might be of interest to members. PILA will develop and enhance this bulletin as an effective tool for the alliance.
