Florida PPE Providers, LLC was created to address the PPE shortage across our nation, but specifically to help small businesses and private practices get quick and affordable access to masks.
Founder Philip McElroy graduated from the University of Notre Dame in the Class of 2018. After being laid-off due to COVID-19 and returning home to Tampa, he noticed that his mother was overpaying for essential PPE at her private practice, Dr. McElroy Pediatrics, due to a shortage. It did not sit right that someone like her was overpaying for what she needed when she was risking her own health for her patients.
After speaking with several other private practices, it appeared that this shortage was affecting many businesses within and beyond the community. With constant news of price-gouging, counterfeit PPE and lack of suppliers, he realized the necessity for a reputable, FDA-Approved supplier with access to affordable PPE so that Tampa and beyond could continue to work amidst the pandemic. This is when Florida PPE Providers, LLC was created.
