Fondation Charlotte Overview

Abrité par la Fondation pour l’enfance, le Fonds Charlotte a été créé en 2015 à l’initiative de la famille Génot, en raison de sa bienveillance pour l’Enfance en général et celle de Madagascar en particulier. Il s’est transformé en 2018 en Fonds de dotation. Un Fonds de dotation n’a pas pour objet principal d’être opérationnel, mais d’aider d’autres associations à l’être en leur apportant un soutien financier. C’est une forme juridique instituée en 2008 en France, inspirée des “endowments funds” assurant aux Etats-Unis comme en Angleterre la pérennité financière de prestigieuses institutions culturelles ou académiques, aujourd’hui utilisée en France par le musée du Louvre ou l’Institut Pasteur. En poursuivant un objectif d’intérêt général, il bénéficie des dispositions fiscales propres au mécénat. Notre objectif au travers de cette structure est donc la rentabilisation maximale des dons reçus, fiscalement et du point de vue opérationnel, au service de l’intérêt général. Un fonds de dotation est sous contrôle strict du Préfet et doit publier ses comptes et son rapport d’activité chaque année. Notre transparence est assurée par un commissaire aux comptes.
