I am humbled by the recognition I receive as a trial lawyer. I feel privileged to work on precedent-setting, high-profile cases. Yet I draw most pride from my service as a public defender. Through this work, I helped the forgotten, the damned and the downtrodden. I learned invaluable courtroom experience, and I learned how to try cases.
If a lawyer can try a case to a jury, the client is always in good hands; at the end of the day, it is the jury's job to decide justice, not the insurance adjuster or the prosecutor or even the judge.
